When Michael sat down at our desk I saw an eager man ready to propose to the love of his life. Melissa and Michael had been dating for a little over 4 years after meeting at the University of North Florida through mutual friends. A family vacation with both Melissa’s and Michael’s family present seemed like just the time to “pop the question”. Michael had several ideas for a Hawaiian proposal, but none that seemed just right.

When I offered to help set the scene Michael’s curiosity peaked. I described a private grassy area overlooking the lagoon that he and Melissa could approach during an early evening stroll. An orchid heart would adorn the grass and a photographer would be hiding near by capturing every moment as he got down on one knee and proposed. Michael loved the idea and we made arrangements to make the magic happen.

The Proposal Site

When Michael and Melissa began to approach the grass I saw a crowd not far behind. Their family had joined to watch this special moment unfold amongst the palm trees on this picturesque Hawaiian evening. As they reached the heart Michael got down on one knee and Melissa became instantly exasperated with joy. The family cheered and our photographer captured every breath taking moment. These two were more in love in that very moment and we had the pleasure of capturing every smile, every tear, and heart felt emotion.

She Said Yes!

The family thoughtfully brought “She Said Yes” cups and toasted the newly engaged couple, which made for a fun photo prop. Our photographer then whisked Michael and Melissa away to privately conclude their engagement photo session in front of a beautiful Hawaiian sunset.
