In the words sang by Cyndi Lauper, we, photographers in Hawaii, just want to have fun.  Having fun, we’ve discovered, is the key to loving what we do. That means that while we’re infinitely devoted to growing as photography professionals and delivering the highest-quality product, we will always find ways to let loose. It’s all about that work-life balance!

Not only do our talented team of photographers take some beautiful family photos and capture some magical moments for couples in the beautiful outdoors of the Hawaiian islands, but they also make it their playing grounds. When we are lucky enough to live in such a magical place, we must take advantage of it in more ways than one. Hawaii Photographers, Blinnk Photography

This month, our team of Maui photographers, gathered for an outdoors BBQ. As you can see in the smart-phone photos above, we did slack-lining, and gave our arms a rest. How? We left the big professional cameras at home and took photos with smartphones and GoPros. (Did you know our DSLR cameras with the flash and lenses can weigh about 5 pounds?)

Another way in which the Blinnk photography team relaxes in their downtime is creating memes. As you may know, a “meme,” is “an image, video, piece of text, etc., typically humorous in nature, that is copied and spread rapidly by Internet users.” It’s a fantastic creative outlet for artistic individuals who enjoy photos, humor and the Internet… which is exactly what we are!

Hawaii Photographers, Memes, Blinnk PhotographyHere are some of our favorite memes made by the Blinnk Photography team. Any other person that has ever worked as a professional photographer can probably relate to these scenarios pictured.

So, if you’ve ever wondered what your Hawaii photographers are up to when they aren’t capturing your memories, now, you can have an inside look at our lives in paradise. From posing with our biggest smiles and arms wide open to hanging out with dancers of a luau, there’s never a dull moment in the islands.

This post is dedicated to the amazing, hard-working and talented individuals we get to call our co-workers. Without you all, we couldn’t be in the business of bottling our clients’ memories.

Mahalo and Happy Aloha Friday!
